The four member organizations of the Eurogroup for Animals in Greece, Animal Action Greece, Hellenic Animal Welfare Federation Πανελλήνια Φιλοζωική Ομοσπονδία, Dogs’ Voice and #Ippothesis invite the prospective MEPs to sign a pledge through which they declare their clear intention to work to improve animal welfare and treatment. The pledge consists of 10 demands, including the transport of live animals, imports of animal products, aquatic species welfare, non-animal scientific research and wildlife protection.
We directly call on all candidate MEPs, regardless of party, to publicly pledge that, if elected, they will support policies for animal welfare and better treatment during their term in the European Parliament.
At the same time, we are calling on all citizens who care about animals to take action themselves by calling on candidates to pledge through the Citizens page of the Vote for Animals campaign.
