We were first informed about this case of malnourished horse full of wounds in early September. Following our on-site investigation, we filed a written complaint.
A few days ago, a lady who saw this horse contacted us and we advised her to send us new photos. We also informed her that a complaint has been filed by our welfare society.
Aspropyrgos is a special area which gathers groups of kill buyers with very good connections.
She decided to call the police and unfortunately she was arrested. Her lawyer contacted us and we referred her to another equine protection association for representation on civil action.
With our regret, in the post of this equine welfare association they do not mention the complaint which was filed by our association.
Something that probably would help them to save this animal.
We are disappointed but not surprised.
