Unfortunately, our association receives no support from the state and relies solely on donations from friends, partners, organizations abroad, and supporters. Each month, any shortfall is covered out of our own personal income.
From the very first day of our founding, we have been committed to changing the bad reality for equines in our country. We achieve this through hard work, negotiations, perseverance and unfortunately without any marketing expertise which is so much needed in our days.
Those of you who follow and support us, we want to tell you that are our strength, you are their voice.
A few days ago, a donation from a remarkable individual who wishes to remain anonymous gave us a little extra power. We were able to purchase wood shavings for two months, a specialized feed mix needed for our older equines for approximately four months, and we also managed to contribute, in a very small but meaningful way, by purchasing feed for a herd of wild horses.
For this specific herd, we collaborate with the local community and an animal welfare organization that has helped immensely so that these wild horses will not go down to the villages searching for food or being taken away by kill buyers.
We have already secured the travel and fee expenses of our lawyer for the next court for abused equines which will take place in Thessaloniki.
Each month, our fixed expenses for rent and payment of our equine caretaker are supplemented at regular intervals by additional costs for farrier, veterinary care and purchase of hay.
To everyone who donates even one single euro to us, please know that without you, we would not have made it this far.
